dandruff, skin disease, generate hair growth, shampoo (The saponins, which act as surfactants, give natural lather, can clean the scalp while the glycosides and acids help scalp problems such as fungal and bacterial infection which are ones of the causes of dandruff and hair loss)
Traditional Belief:
Thais, in the old time, especially in the North, believe that Acacia concinna (SOMPOI) is a powerful plant, that has been given to the world by the Indra Deva (the high spirit). It can correct or purify any wrong even or even evil. Its leaves are used as food in soup to purify toxins from the blood and also clear the fats (which cause ill-health) from the intestine. The pulp is beated with water to give lather for cleansing hair and body to purify bad spirit or even bad fortune for example after going to the feneral (and also used as shampoo to treat a cold). Some Thai monks who live in the jungle (called Thu-dong monk) or some yogies use this herb to cleanse hair and body every month for spiritual development. It is still widely used in the Northern part of Thailand for the Songkran Festival cerebration to give blessings to senior people to be healthy and lucky (for it pacifies the body and mind).
We, a group of pharmacists and scientists of CHOR NATURE would like to reserve and offer this wisdom of traditional Thai herbal shampoo to people aroung the world. So we prepare the herbs into shampoos by mixing with other herbs to make it more effective, better appearance and suitable for modern life style without distorting the traditional method of processing. For example, we do not use alcohol or synthetic chemicals in extracting the herbs.
